Angelica Panganiban, a Filipino American actress and model who also serves as a TV hostess as well as a comedian. The patient became septic and suffered numerous organ failures, which included the kidneys that did not recover. The patient was required to change her life around hemodialysis, and later on peritoneal dialysate. In the 80 days she spent in Hospital, the life of her was changed for the better. After nearly a year and half of dialysis Angelica was ready for the largest surgery in her life: a kidney transplant. Angelica would be receiving the donated kidney from her mom. In September 2013, Angelica and her mom underwent an operation to transplant their kidneys at two remarkable hospitals right across from each other: the Memory University Hospital as well as Children's Health of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale, a young girl from Atlanta who has always wanted to be an actress and singer and is currently working towards that goal.
